Nena Saviya - Cause 06

Taking into account the economic situation of the country in 2022, our organization decided to collect used clothes  in  good quality and new clothes from the neighbours and organized a sale to raise some funds for the book drive  and collected nearly Rs.93,050/-. Apart from that, with the funds received from relatives and friends at home and abroad, a considerable amount could be collected for the distribution of books.

90 children were selected from the less privileged families for the event, following the same criteria as well. The Buddhist Thero and head sister of Fatima Convent did a good job to select deserving children. The event was taken place on 21/01/2023.
The total cost incurred for the project was Rs. 404,004.75

In this connection we would like to place on record that Buddhist and Christian clergy worked with us closely and they extended their fullest cooperation to make this event a success.
