In keeping with our mission of promoting kindness and compassion for all living beings, Enoch Lanka has established an Animal Welfare Division dedicated to providing care and support for stray animals, particularly dogs and cats, by providing essential items such as food, wound care, and vaccines.
The following welfare-related activities, directed towards animals, especially dogs and cats, have been incorporated under the Missionary Statement of Enoch Lanka and are performed by Animal Care Unit (ACU).
Vision: A Safe Haven for Ailing, Neglected, and Abandoned Animals
Mission: Create a safe and nurturing environment for stray animals while inspiring community responsibility and empathy towards animal welfare.
In attaining the mission objective, ACU will engage itself in the following activities:
Providing food and nutrition to alleviate hunger and malnutrition in animals.
Conducting immunization campaigns to promote animal health.
Offering wound care and medical attention to animals in need.
Promoting awareness programs for the need for spaying and neutering stray dogs and cats and facilitating stray spay and neuter initiatives.
Identifying and registering stray animals to facilitate reunification and care.
Rescuing animals in distress and rehoming them with loving families.
Promoting animal rights advocacy to protect animals from cruelty, exploitation, and neglect, and advocating for their welfare and rights in our community.
